books!

So in November I wrote one book and read a bunch of others. Fourteen others, to be exact, most of them coming in the last two weeks of the months.

-All Men of Genius by Lev A.C. Rosen (Possibly the gayest book ever)

-The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong (Inoffensive, but not compelling enough that I've picked up the sequels)

-Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (Good, but it was so hyped that by the end I was a tad disappointed)

-Just Kids by Patti Smith (A wonderful look at the life of Robert Mapplethorpe, who I knew nothing about before I read this)

-The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (Reread; always awesome)

-In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto by Michael Pollan (All this really did is make me feel guilty about consuming processed foods. I haven't actually stopped doing so, though.)

-Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (Reread; my favorite of the three.)

-Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (Reread; I have many, many issues with this book but I still love it dearly.)

-The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson (This provided one of those "Oh! So that's why everyone adores this," moments on almost every page.)

-The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson (Luckily I didn't see the review comparing this to the books of Megan Whalen Turner and Kristin Cashore until I was halfway through because otherwise I probably would have been disappointed. But I still liked it.)

-Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (Ugh. But I hear the movie's better so I'm going to watch that.)

-Storm Front by Jim Butcher (A quick and easy way to pass a couple of hours.)

-Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins (STEPHANIE PERKINS HOW ARE YOU REAL!!!!!!)

-Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta (Reread; I was pretty much a blubbering mess by the end of this. So much love for Taylor - and Jonah, of course.)
